Hmmm...great, but it can't detect pre-cancerous polyps. Having those detected and removed is essential to colon cancer prevention, especially in those of us at higher risk. My mother died from colon cancer at 50, I started getting colonoscopies at 35. I'm now 53, and because I've had many pre-cancerous polyps removed, I only need a colonoscopy every 3 years. The advice you've given feels a little irresponsible. It doesn't address prevention in high risk populations.
