Spot on. And I would add, we were told the judging criteria was 40% originality, 30% creativity, 30% writing quality. While many of the 103 winners fit the bill, many more don't. Brilliant *shorter* more original and creative essays were ignored. In retrospect, a word limit should have been in place.
