Yes, all of my veteran writer friends said "you have to do it," and my husband, a seasoned line producer (and child of actors) said, "well, do you want to work again?" I had one more big job after that, financially less exploitative, but the 4:30 am calls from the bat-shit producer did me in. Hats off to all of you who withstand this dynamic for decades.
